My nursing career
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lynette.
I am a practical nursing student in my 3 rd semester of school. I am a single mom and work as a care aide on my time off. I applied for a government funded course just to realize that the college has dropped me and a few classmates from the course due to non- payment issues. We were originally told the course would be about $10000 and funded by the government. However, facing many obstacles along the way, we are required to pay half the fees this semester out of pocket no matter the fact that the government said they are finding the course. Had we known this we wouldn’t have applied and made other arrangements! I can not work much due to the demand of the course load but have given up a lot of my time to make sure I can work to pay bills aside from tuition! I have been removed from my 3 rd semester due to non- payment of $6500 or a payment of $3500 to hold over until 2 weeks from now. We have had a whole lot of non communication with this program but have given up our personal lives to take in a career as nurses and give back to a struggling society. I am asking for help as I physically can not help my own situation. I am a very hard worker but have reached my breaking point. Anything would be greatly appreciated and will update you with further communication and ongoing events. Thank you front he bottom of my ❤️ heart.
a struggling mom.
thanks for taking the time to read this❤️
update- I have been able to make a payment of $1200 to my school fees and I thought it could tie me over, but it seems the bursaries and grants I’ve applied for have and will continue to be denied until I have all my fees paid and in good standings with payments. I know we’re all tapped out these days and there are so many tragedies and lots of friends that lost so much lately, so I am extremely grateful for any and all help and understanding! One thing I can promise is to give back to those once I’m finished my program❤️
