The Story of Josepha and Florence Kaweesa
Joseph and Florence Kaweesa of Uganda, are a pastor couple and both are ordained ministers. Uganda is located in Central Africa, surrounded by Rowanda, Sudan, Congo, Kenya and Tanzania. Sudan, Rowanda and Congo have been home to horrific genocide and atrocities against innocent people. One of the results has been a large number of orphans, many of whom escaped into the jungles and migrated to safe countries like Uganda after their parents and families have been killed.
Joesph and Florence have been called to gather in these orphans, giving them housing, food and family; but most of all to love these lost children.
They have built a small school and dormitories of bricks on a small parcel of land in Uganda (3.5 acres). Our Church has helped them through the years with building supplies, school tuition, and money to provide simple things like a Christmas celebration. We have also helped them with seeds to grow crops to help feed the children and to sell excess at the market for income. These children are the future of Uganda.
Joseph and Florence face many obstacles in their mission to help these orphanded children, always with faith in God that he will provide for them in their need. Their hour of need is very great at this time. All of their hard work may soon be dismantled if they cannot come up with the money to buy the title deed to their property, which apparently did not happen when they purchased the land. They need to come up with $8,850 within the next 30 days or all will be wiped out and these children left homeless once again.
