lets help nancy

Hi! My name is Bethany and I am raising money to support my dear family friend Nancy Pollock who is 45 years old and lives in Boston. Nancy is unfortunately suffering with breast cancer.  She has gone through so much tragedy throughout her life.  First, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer 15 years ago and had to withstand grueling treatment including multiple painful surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. As if that was not bad enough the cancer has now spread to her spine and paralyzed her from the waist down and she can no longer walk.  Because of these circumstances she could not live in her house anymore because it was not handicapped accessible.  She had to walk away from the home she owned and was unfortunately unable to sell it due to the terrible real estate market.  She also was not able to work anymore due to her disability and is now facing a foreclosure action as well as possible bankruptcy. More recently, Nancy found herself blind in one eye, had to undergo surgery and had to spend 6 weeks in rehab. She is unfortunately living with a lot of pain and complications in that eye. 

As you can see, Nancy needs our help.  Through this charity, we can help her.  Nancy also has a diligent husband, Steve.  He has stuck by her since the beginning. 

This organization is not going to cure Nancy. But, it will help her.  All of the money that is donated will be given to Nancy and Steve to help them and take a huge pressure off their financial struggle and will allow them to continue their lives in far more happiness. Specifically, they can use the money to purchase an electric wheelchair, adaptive equipment and handicapped accesible van.  These items are very expenisve but will give her the opportunity to have better mobility and a better quality of life. Together we can change their lives!
