Jonathan Mallard Family Fundraiser

Jonathan, Sjonica and their families need our prayers and financial support. Last month, Jon had to have emergency surgery to remove his appendix that had ruptured. The infection has since spread through out his body. He was admitted to ICU at Baylor Scott and White Hospital 10 days ago where he remains. He was admitted with pneumonia, blood infection, inflamed gall bladder and tremendous pain. Over the last ten days, this family has been on a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Just as it seemed he may have been improving and they upgraded him to PCU, he had a setback. Jon's lungs and chest cavity started to fill with fluids. The draining of these fluids caused his right lung to collapse. It did relieve some of the pain and muscle spasms he was suffering however, the fluid continues to build. Last night (8/25/16), a thoracic surgeon met with Jon and Sjonica regarding surgery for today. They are placing a tube into his lungs to help remove fluids that keeps building. This is a very high risk surgery with Jon's sepsis condition. After surgery, he will go back to ICU where they will continue to find an antibiotic to effectively fight the infection throughout Jon's body. Let's help this precious family offset some of the financial burden they are experiencing and will experience as the medical bills start to roll in. Jon and Sjonica have three beautiful children at home that need their dad and mom. All funds will go to help with living expenses while both Jon and Sjonica are missing work as well as medical bills that are mounting. Any amount helps. No donation is too small.
