A farm worker was seriously injured Monday morning when the tractor he was operating was struck by a van along Catawissa Road in Walker Township.
The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. as the victim was pulling a rake behind the tractor. The van struck the tractor, causing it to overturn.
The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua, then flown by MedEvac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center in Allentown.
State police at Frackville are investigating the incident. Catawissa Road is closed.
