Hi, I'm Mei. Some of you may know me better as Mia. I'm wanting to move from my current living arrangement in Texas, all the way to Washington State. The reason being is that I'm currently far away from my loved ones. The US/Canadian border is currently closed and I'm unable to obtain a way into Canada to be with my partner. So I would like to live in Washington, where I can be as close as possible to being with them. The plus side is also, I have a couple close friends in the area. I would be able to be with them as I wait out the unfortunate border closure.
Moving is extremely expensive and I have been trying my hardest to save whatever I can. I work as a medical assistant in a local hospital but money is still very difficult to save. The lease on my current apartment is due in January to renew. I would like to raise $4,000 before then
1. The cost of moving
2. Down payment on an apartment
3. Cover potential cost of breaking current lease if I need more time to prepare. I do not want to wait another year before moving. It may not be directly to my partner but I want to be as close as I can as fast as possible. The move from Washington to British Columbia (when it happens) would be much easier than from Texas to BC.
4. Funds for my medication that I cannot do without. (HRT and Diabetes) as well as general cost of living until I find employment.
5. General cost of Living and paying essential Bills. (Phone, Car loan payment,/Insurance ect)
I have a pretty strong portfolio that I hope will help me gain employment expediently. My skills are needed, especially during this unfortunate pandemic. However, I have to prepare just in case if things don't turn out as fast as I would hope. I will be moving in with a good friend of mine. I'm hoping that at least one of us can gain employment before too long.
If this goal is met, anything in excess will be placed into a savings account to help prepare for any sort of emergency that may rise. I don't know what else to say. Any and all possible assistance would be greatly appreciated. What I'm asking for is a lot but it would be absolutely life changing for me.
Stuff like this is very difficult to do and even to ask for help. So stepping forward like this as you may imagine is incredibly nerve wracking for me.My deeply sincerest appreciation and love goes out for anyone taking the time to read this all and passing it along, even if you can't donate.
