Tom Jester's Flood recovery fund

My name is Tammy Unsworth (currently living in Atlanta, GA) and I'm setting this account up for my dad, Tom Jester. His life was recently turned upside down by the flooding in my hometown of Denham Springs outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is among the thousands of people that lost everything due to the surprise rise in water that occurred last week after torrential rainfalls (24-31 inches), and were not covered by flood insurance. His home was hit hard with at least 6-7 feet of flood water filling his entire house for 3 days.  He was emergently rescued from his home, and escaped with nothing but his meds for the month and 1 pair of clothes. It's been  quite overwhelming for him to think of having to start over at 75 years of age. My brother and his family are in a similar situation. We are working a plan for them as well.

Many folks have been asking me "how can I help your family?". Well...of course, prayers are welcomed, and/or donating your time if you have it to help in the gutting and rebuilding of his home would be great! Otherwise, any monetary donations received will help him replace lost belongings like clothes, shoes, food, etc. Once the necessary items are replenished further donations will help to pay for the acutual rebuild and refurnishing of his home. Nothing given is too big or too small!! We appreiciate ANY and ALL help we can get!!
