Give Afghan Girls School! Malala was shot in the head by the Taliban 9 years ago, because she spoke out for Afghan girls to be allowed to go to school. Malala survived. She has since received the Nobel Peace Prize for her work. Last week she received her 6th surgery. We are all shocked by the events currently happening in Afghanistan and our hearts go out to all the Girls, Mothers, Fathers & brothers whose lives will dramatically change for the worse in the coming years. A sense of helplessness is what remains. It felt appropriate to reactivate the ‘go-fund -me’ page I created six years ago on the PCT, to raise funds for the Malala Fund. Thanks to all your kind donations, we raised $5000 in 2016. Let’s do the same again now and make it $10.000 and focus on good, as Malala will need all the help she can get to start more schools for girls in the many refugee-camps that will only grow in Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries. I pledge to donate $500 ($1,- for every km on the Kungsleden) and hope you will join me with whatever you can. I will make a painting for all those who wish to donate. (please send me your name and address in a DM, and I will send it when I am back home). Your donation will automatically be transferred to the Malala Fund. The Malala Fund is a registered charity in the U.S. and U.K. Donate here>
