Tony's "Bionic Man" Medical Expense
Donation protected
Tony Galde has dedicated his life to entertaining, mentoring, and serving others, and now he needs our help (although he'd never ask for it). He was kind enough to offer me the guest bedroom in his home during my relocation to Atlanta, and I've seen first-hand the toll that twenty-five years of dancing HARD on Broadway has taken on his body. Things that many of us take for granted, like walking, sitting, and even putting on shoes & socks are very painful for Tony.
Tony is preparing for four surgeries, starting with a right hip replacement on Monday, August 22nd. Next will be his left hip, then both of his knees will follow. With two new hips and two new knees in the next 6-9 months, he's going to truly be a bionic man and will hopefully be able to finally be pain-free.
Tony's mother will be traveling from California to assist both with Tony's recovery and care of Justin (and Lollly and Taco). Additionally, since the surgeries will occur over two calendar years, his out-of-pocket expenses will be substantial. Tony's medical and family travel expense will be approximately $20,000.00.
Many of you know Tony as a performer, director, and teacher. What you may not know is that he has produced numerous events for philanthropic organizations across the country, raising awareness and well over 6 million dollars. It's my hope that we can return the passion, kindness, and generosity that Tony has given to so many. Please consider making a contribution at whatever level is comfortable. Every little bit will help.
With Gratitude,
Alison
