Hello friends and family, I know a lot of you don't know the situation with our little guy. Roman was born with what the doctors call an AV canal which means his heart when forming was not fully formed and has only one central valve that mixes his blood and then is pumped out. I knew this before he was born and doctors are expecting to repair his little heart at 4-6 months of age. He has been in the NICU since birth and was thriving, he was gaining weight and growing as he should. Unfortunately I'm the last 2 weeks baby was showing signs of difficulty with his respiratory vitals and was placed on heart medication to help him with blood going into his lungs. In the last few days he has been getting worse and doctors decided that a repair is needed before cardiac failure. So doctors have decided to have baby transported to UCLA to have some heart surgery done to help with his situation. He is not going to have full repair on his heart right now but heart surgery to stop so much fluid from leaking into his lungs which will him with his breathing. We are headed to Los Angeles and at this moment have nowhere to stay and we are not in the best financial situation, my husband and I are currently on leave to be with our baby boy so money is tight at the moment. I ask for prayers for our baby and our family first and foremost and if you could help with whatever you can we would greatly appreciate it.
