As many of you know, Mia has had a rough 48hrs. She woke up early Thursday morning complaining about her chest hurting. After a full day of continuously having chest pains we took her into Urgent Care. After a few exams, Urgent Care advised us to go to ER right away.
We went straight to ER, and thanks to Aunt Marci, we were seen very quickly by a doctor that shouldn't have even seen us. Luckily, he ordered all the right tests and concluded there was fluid around Mia's heart. Memorial had Mia airlifted to Valley Children's Hospital.
While at Valley Children's they ran another series of tests and discovered a tumor sitting above her heart. With this new information, they airlifted Mia to Stanford. Within 24 hours our baby girl had been to three different hospitals, two helicopter rides, and poked several times. With everything going on she still made sure everyone knew she was the princess.
Today Mia received a biopsy, drained the fluid, and had a pic line put in. The team at Stanford was very worried about the procedure due to the anesthetic and her high risk. The procedure went GREAT, they were able to get everything completed without any complications. Right now all we can do is pray and wait.
I setup this page because I know we have so many friends and loved ones praying for our little girl. It's becoming difficult for me update everyone, I'm so worried that I'm always forgetting someone. I'm hoping with this page everyone can stay in the loop.
Mike and I truly appreciate all the love, support, and prayers we have received. Mia has a long journey ahead. We know that God is the only one that will get her and us through this difficult time.
