Help Ash get treatment
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alexis, and on September 18, my favourite three legged fur baby took a tumble down a flight of stairs and has not been okay since.
Every time Ash moved he would whimper and whine so on September 20th he was taken to a vet clinic and was assessed and found pain in his spine he was given a pain killer and sent home to relax and recover.
About a week later he got really sick and was brought back in. We did some blood work and got re assessed. He was diagnosed with gastrointestinal disease and was put on more medication. After about a week he was feeling better and we were back to normal until about the 16th of October when he started yelping and crying to be let out in the middle of the night. The 22nd his guts got bad again and she took him to okotokes. Where they determined that the pain was spinal and located in his neck. We got an xray done and saw inflammation around his hips and knee. As well as all the gas build up which was causing his gut issues.
As for his neck there was nothing identifiable however she said it could be one of the discs between the vertebrae. Since we’ve ruled pretty much everything else out that what we’ve been going with. He was out on medication. For both, which weren’t working and he was brought back in Monday for a re evaluation. Put on more meds and given and anti nausea shot. Plus got a referral to a neurologist.
this neurologist consult, because of its urgency, is now $700. Plus any treatment he will need following the consult.
Libby’s not a person that asks for help, but with ash’s condition he may not make it through the next couple months.
If you can donate or even share with family and friends, anything helps!
