Steven Rist, 51, Beloved Husband and Father of 5, Oldest child of his is 20 and the youngest is 10. He was loved and cared for by his family. My name is Stephanie, i am doing this fundraiser to raise money for my dad´s funeral. My dad was sick for about 10 years now, and stopped working for about 6 years because his heart was to weak. This news that was given to us Saturday August 20th was very unexpected. In the past years he has had about 6 surgeries and also he was waiting to get on the list to get a heart transplant. He got his two hips replaced, he had gotten a defibrillator and also a heart pump machine. He had to lose 6 pounds to get on the heart transplant list, and if you know my dad, He has been waiting for this moment for a very long time and he was ready to loose those 6 pounds. He was admitted into the hospital Wednesday August 17th in the afternoon around 3. Reason was, because his defibrillator had went off about 8 times between 2 - 3 o clock all because his potassium was very low.  His doctor had told him that he was going to be released in 3 or 4 days meaning he was going to be released between Saturday August 20 thru Monday August 22.  As those 2 days passed by Friday Night he wasn´t feeling so good, he called a nurse to help him go to the restroom, and during that process, he was feeling light headed and fainted in the restroom. We lost him Saturday morning around 1 o clock. The Money that is donated, will be use to pay for the funeral.
