Baby Nate's Recovery

My sister Nikki and her husband Aaron have a beautiful baby boy, Nate. On Friday, August 5th he seemed to have a tummy ache and very low fever. They decided to take him to the doctors and get him checked out. The doctors did not like how sensitive his tummy was to the touch and referred him to Banner Thunderbird Children's Hospital. We were all very surprised by this, as his symptoms seemed like a simple stomach virus. Within 48 hours he was admitted to the PICU. A few hours after that he needed to be intubated, as he could no longer breathe on his own. A couple hours after that he was being transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital and in need of dialysis. About an hour after being admitted to PCH, our sweet baby bear Nate's heart gave out. The AMAZING BLESSED doctors, nurses, and staff, saved his life. We are now two weeks into baby Nate's recovery and still have a long road ahead of us. Nate has had a few surgery's, has been on dialysis, heavily sedated, intubated, and we still do not know the exact cause of his critical illness. Although we do not know the exact cause, the doctors are treating symptoms as they arise. He has made some progress in the past two weeks and we know he will continue to do so!
God has been Great throughout this process and has restored Nate and given him new life, with the help of the doctors. Nikki and Aaron have been STEADFAST in their faith. They stand firm in their belief, KNOWING God will heal their precious beautiful baby Nate! The money recieved from your generous hearts will be used to help pay for baby Nate's medical bills. Anything raised above and beyond that will be donated to other families in need at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
