Family, friends, and our fellow sports families, we are sadden by our recent news of finding out that Marcus an amazing 14 year old boy has cancer "osteosarcoma ". A little background about Marcus which many already know , he's tall and handsome the obvious but he's beyond sweet, respectful and absolutely passionate about playing sports. He grew up playing baseball and football, and without a doubt an amazing athlete with a bright future. Marcus was extremely excited to play high school football and baseball, with planning his future around sports. Tragically he was injured during football practice and from that point his whole life changed. It started with a normal check up for a pain in his knee, to a an X-ray that relieved a chance of it being cancerous, keeping our faith while waiting for a biopsy we discovered stage 2 border line 3 cancer! From that point not only his life has changed but those who surround him family/friends will have their lives changed. Marcus will spend the next year to call Choc hospital his home, 08/19/2016 was his first round of chemo, putting on that brave face and smiling for his family, but asking many questions about cancer and the treatment and side affects. We want to let Marcus know we're with him and we'll get through this and will fight this together! And it has come to this, we are asking for any help to help our sister Lisa, going from a full time employee to a full time care provider for her son. We want our sister to have to be stress free and not worry about bills or even losing her place, we would like her to remain positive and focus on Marcus' recovery and beating cancer! We are reaching out for any help, from the bottom of the Marquez family we thank you all
