Usher Syndrome: Jacob's Africa Trip

Jacob Desormeaux is my Angel on Earth.  I have had my own personal battles with illness in the past as well as ongoing, but nothing can compare to what this boy has gone through since he was born.  

As the son of my close friend,  I have always been involved in his life, and hold him close to my heart.  He was born deaf, and has been slowly but surely losing his eyesight.  This disease is known as Ushers Syndrome and there is no known cure. With many surgeries under his belt, at the age of 17, Jacob has always wanted to see Africa before he loses his eyesight in his early twenties. 

Any and all donations will be used to send him and his family to Africa for a once in a lifetime experience so that he can create as many visual memories as possible before its too late.  

Jacob is an exceptional boy, he is always smiling and happy despite all he has gone through and has yet to go through.  This, to me, is one of the most important things I will ever ask for.  I need to do this for him, he has always been an inspirtation to me and nothing would mean more than being able to give him this experience.
