My mom was so kind, beautiful, happy and she always put everyone else first. October 8th, 2012 she saved my dad's life by giving him one of her kidneys, she was a living donor. My mom was diagnosed September 29th 2015 with stage 3 breast cancer, she fought long and hard for her family. My mom got her mastectomy and we thought her battle with cancer was almost over when she started acting different, not making sense, getting sick and that's when we knew something was wrong. It had metastasized to her brain and the spinal fluid, my mom fell in 4% of all cancer patients in the world who has cancer in the spinal fluid. This affected her cognitive function. My mom loved with all of her heart and I will probably never get the chance to meet someone as special and genuine as her. My mom lost her battle August 18th at 9:45 PM. She was surrounded by love from us the whole time but we got to spend her last moments with her. My parents taught me the true meaning of unconditional love, I got to witness "In sickness and in health until death do us part." I'm setting up this account to take some of the stress off of my dad who tried everything he could to save her. The love between those two was like something out of a movie that a lot of people probably won't see in a lifetime. Thank you for your support. #TeamLori
