Jeanette Ramsey, LA Flood Loss Fund

This is my mom, Jeanette Ramsey. I live in Chicago, but I'm currently writing from Baton Rouge, LA. My mom is part of the tens of thousands of Baton Rouge residents that were impacted by last week's flooding. She lost everything: car, furniture, fridge, stove, beds, mattresses, EVERYTHING. 

It was not until I arrived here that I truly understood the extent of the devastation. 




The great news is the SHE (along with most of her shoes - smile ) survived! In light of this horrific disaster, her life being spared is why I am most thankful.

NOW WE MUST REBUILD. We rebuild not only because we have to, but because we need to. Home is security. Home is peace. Home is family. So family, we humbly request your help. 


Any funds donated will be used to rebuild the basics (nothing lavish). It's estimated that it will take 3-6 months to return everything to normal. Please join us on our journey!
