Terry and Brandi Childress LA flood

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Lauren Raymer. I am orginally from Louisiana. When the floss hit my best friend Casey Horne started sending me pictures of the flooding occurring in her home and her friends. Living in North Carolina , I wasn't sure how I could help. Then Casey told me about her friend Brandi (their daughter have been on the same softball team for the last 2 years and they are great friends). In that moment I knew we had to help. This family has lost everything and along with other hardships are now trying to put their life back on track. Here is their story! I pray that you feel led to help this family. Every dollar and prayer count!! Thank you!!

On Friday, August 12, 2016, Terry and Brandi lost their home in Central, LA due to the historic flooding in Louisiana. They lost everything they have worked so hard for.

This is especially difficult for them because Brandi has MS and not able to work. Since being diagnosed at age 16, she has had to consistently take chemotherapy and steroid treatments in order to hold off the next batch of brain lesions. She has difficultly keeping her balance as well as sleeping which make this whole situation so much worse on her. She also has numerous monthly appointments to keep the MS at bay that she must attend. They have lost multiple devices for when she can not walk or is going through a relapse and needs therapy including shower chairs, forearm crutches, and countless other medical devices and necessities along with medications.

Terry works hard to provide for his family and as the sole bread winner, taking time off to gut and fix their house is not exactly a good thing.

Brandi and Terry also have 2 kids. Their daughter Peyton who is 9 and a sweet little boy named Jaxson who is 7 months. These kids have literally lost everything. Peyton hasn't even been told her house is gone yet and she is sure to be devastated. To make matters even worse, Peyton's puppy is still missing as she swam away during the first hours of flooding.

Please consider giving to this wonderful family. Every single dollar helps them get back on their feet and move forward. They are looking for assistance with day to day expenses: groceries, medicine, diapers and all that comes with replacing your entire home!! Thank you for your giving. Every single dollar will be such a blessing to this family!

Please feel free to share with your friends and family!

We are so grateful for you!
