Flood Relief for Scooter and Mike
Donation protected
On Behalf of Ace Industries, we are asking everyone in our network to help two members of our service department who have been devastated by the recent floods in Baton Rouge.
Scooter is our branch manager in Baton Rouge, LA and has been a critical part of our team since the Gaffey acquisition in August of 2012, prior to that he has been with Gaffey for an additional 22 years.
Michael Vick is a field service technician from our Baton Rouge, LA branch. Michael has been with Ace Industries for slightly less than a year. Michael has helped out with not only his home branch, but has been welcomed in some of our other branches with open arms as a dedicated and hardworking team member.
Unfortunately, the recent floods in the Baton Rouge area have left both families devastated. Scooter and Michael happen to be next door neighbors and their houses suffered severe flooding of 6’ or more of water from the weekend of August 12th.
As members of our Ace family our hearts go out to them. While their coworkers and extended work family have kept them in their prayers and stayed in constant communication, I feel we can do more. During the tragedies that transpired over the weekend, Scooter went back to the flooded area to check on his property as well as the elderly in the area. On Saturday night Scooter discovered two different older couples that were trapped in their home with rising waters. Scooter and his wife rescued both couples by floating them to safety on rafts. Additionally as animal lovers they discovered pets in the neighborhood that were in trouble and lent a hand to get the animals to safer high round.
We are creating this page to show the support of our extended family members and challenge the rest of Ace family and vendors to help where they can.
This page is managed by Claude Owens our National Service Manager, Georgia Jean our HQ office manager, and Sayeed Mehrjerdian our Business Development Manager. The affected parties are employees of the business that we all work for and we are hoping to use our businessess network to raise money for these families. This money will help the families with whatever their day to day needs will be while they work through the process of salvaging their valuables if any and replacing their homes.
We are hoping to raise the money as quickly as possible as they are in dire need.
