Would you adopt my best friend Barb? I'm Tamyra Bourgeois and my home in Baton Rouge was spared in the flood last week. My friend Barbara's however was not.

Barb is having a harder time than many because she is a widow with no relatives in the Baton Rouge area, and her cozy little cottage took in the flooded river waters. Like many, she has no flood insurance because her area has never flooded.

Whether $5 or $500, Barbara is always grateful, so any donation your heart sees fit to give will be greatly appreciated. The proceeds will go directly to repairs such as dry wall, flooring and the cost of labor as well as furniture and appliances.
