Dan Forton's Medical Fund

If you live in the Traverse City, MI. area, you probably know Dan Forton.

Dan is a proud husband, father & grandfather, as well as a great friend to everyone. If you know him, you know he's one of the hardest working individuals we all know & would do anything to help others in their time of need. This time Dan could use our help. Dan has been suffering from some serious medical problems this spring & summer that have prevented him from working and even from doing his normal activities of daily living. This includes even walking up & down the steps to his beach (hence the golf cart seen in the picture). He has had multiple hospitalizations & emergency room visits, totaling 29 days spent hospitalized in the cardiac unit since May. His recent medical diagnosis includes chronic atrial fibrillation, stage four chronic kidney disease, respiratory failure & a very rare & incurable kidney disease called Fabry disease. He also just recently underwent two surgeries for a nanostim pacemaker. Dan's medical treatments will continue on into the future as his medical team of specialists put a plan of care and treatment in place for his chronic kidney disease and the Fabry disease. Just one enzyme infusion treatment for the Fabry disease (two are needed) will cost $10,000, and they are currently unsure if insurance will cover any of the cost. Dan & Pam don't know about this gofund me page, but we want to bless them with an unexpected financial gift to ease their burdens. We are asking for your prayers & for any donation you are able to give, big or small, to Dan and his wife Pam for his medical treatments, missed work & all the unexpected expenses surrounding his medical problems. Let's help ease the Forton's worries & get Dan back out on the boat where he belongs!
