Vizinat Family Flood Relief

My name is Robynne Locke Gill and I am from Shelburne VT.  I am writing on behalf of my aunt, uncle and cousins who are victims of the recent historic floods in Louisiana.

My family had to be rescued by boat when the flood waters began to enter their trailer.  They needed to be rescued a second time when attempting to travel to stay with family.  They were in different cars, and ended up being diverted in different directions and separated from eachother.  With phone lines down, it was difficult for them to communicate with friends, family, and eachother. 

My family lost most of their possessions in the flood.  Their trailer is flooded with 10 inches of water.  Their appliances, furniture, and cars were all destroyed.  Like most people in Lousiana, they do not have flood insurance, and any FEMA money they might potentially receive will not come close to replacing the things they need to get their lives back on track.

My family is not the type to ask for help.  The very fact that they agreed to participate in this gofundme demonstrates to all who know them how difficult this has been for them, and how much your help is needed.  With that in mind, please consider donating to the Vizinat family to help them repair their home and replace essential items.  Any help you could provide would be so greatly appreciated.
