COBB, Ronnie E.; of Goodrich; formerly of Ortonville; passed August 17, 2016; age 57; husband of Leah (nee Bailey) for 31 years; father of Dean Cobb, Krystal Cobb, Eric Cobb and Kasha (Derrick Savage) Cobb; Son of Lesa (late Robert) Cobb; “Grandpa Ronnie/Papaw” of Kiley, Drake & Wesson; brother of Rickie Cobb & Phyllis (Rich) Vest. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting, boating and attending car shows.
Ronnie passed unexpectedly from an ATV accident. Ronnie rode out on his 4 wheeler to go watch deer and coyotes around 7pm. When he wasn't back by 11, Leah and Kasha went out looking for him a little before midnight and nothing. No sign of the 4 wheeler or Ronnie. They covered all the property. Leah went back to the house where she waited up for him and fell asleep. When she woke up, she told Krystal that her dad didnt come home. Leah and Krystal went looking for him again....nothing still. Eric arrived and went looking for Ronnie and found him. He was on his way back to the house when he hit a stump and the ATV flipped a little ways down the ridge and hit a tree. Ronnie died instantly from the impact. We were told he didn't struggle and suffer from the accident.
