We're raising money to help out with the medical bills for my mom, Becky Walsh. We owe more than our goal, unfortunately. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to hear our story. Please share and help spread the word.
Becky Walsh went into the ER on February 6th due to horrible pain in her abdomen. They did testing and found a mass on her both of her ovaries which were also twisted. She ended up having to have an emergency surgery around 11pm to remove the mass. The ER Dr had reached out to a Gynecologic Oncologist to be on call during the surgery. He was called in because they found out she had ovarian cancer. Further testing revealed Becky had stage 3c and it traveled into a lymph node which they had removed as well as a full hysterectomy. After the surgery she wasn't doing well. The Gynecologic Oncologist came to check on her and she was very pale and cold. There were no signs of internal bleeding but the Dr couldn't figure out what was wrong so he sent her for another surgery. They had to remove 2 liters of blood from inside of her and give her 5.5 units of blood. When they removed the lymph node they missed one section while cauterizing that spot. She was released from the hospital a few days later. When we got home she could barely eat anything for about 20 days and lost a lot of weight. She wasn't getting any better but rather worse. She was brought back to the Dr and had a CATSCAN which revealed a small amount of liquid sitting on her stomach. We had to go straight to the ER and they removed the liquid which was blood that had dried from the second surgery. She was feeling much better once that was removed.
Chemotheropy was an 18 week long proces. Every week she went in for treatments. She is finally finshed and in REMISSION!! God is good!! It hasn't been an easy road by any means but here we are. I want to thank everyone for the continued support!
