4 years--to the day--of their happy wedding anniversary, my brother Chris and his beautiful, cheery wife, Brandi lost almost everything when their home went up in flames.  Baby Luke is safe, so are they.  


Thankfully, Brandi saw the kitchen fire--already a heated tower of flame--and smartly grabbed baby Luke, their dog, Eddie, and got out. Chris was at work nearby; but, his single income won't bring back all that they have lost.  Insurance "adjustments" = less than enough.
       All their happy belongings--gone. All their familiar comforts--gone. All family albums and Baby Luke gear, snatched away by fire and smoke.  

My brother and Brandi are optimists, but this is a blow.  We can help them through this crisis so that next year, on August 18th, 2017, they are are remembering the love that they share  and the people who rallied, near and far to raise up their family from the ashes.
