Ron's Medical and Family Expenses

Ronald Zimmer, Jr is a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Ron was on vacation in California to help me celebrate and support me as I got married, On Monday August 15th, the day before he was set to return home to Michigan he was riding a street bike with his new brother in law when there was a tragic accident and Ron crashed the bike. Ron was unconsious on the scene and was taken to the hospital, doctors found he had bleeding in his brain causing increased pressure and a tube had to be put in to relieve the pressure, after 2 days in a non-induced coma the pressure was not going down so the doctors decided to put him in a medically induced coma to help decrease the pressure on his brain. At this time we do not know the full extent of brain damage we may be faced with, doctors tell us that if Ron does wake up it is going to be a long and tedious recovery. Anyone that knows Ron knows he has been through a lot and is a fighter. In 2009 when his son was 2 and his daughter was only 3 months old he was diagnosed with brain cancer and had to have surgery to have it removed followed by Chemotherapy. He fought that and made a full recovery with the love and support of his family. We are all very hopeful at this time that Ron can pull through this as well, we know it is going to be a long and hard road for him but he will do anything for his children and we know he is going to fight with everything he has to stay in their lives.

We do not know how long Ron will be in the hospital, our goal right now is to get him stabilized so he can travel back home to Michigan to continue in the long road to recovery which awaits him, and from what the doctors say that could be quite a while before that is even possible. Ron's wife and children have been staying here in California with me, and with Ron being the primary income for the family and his wife not being able to return to work in Michigan because she needs to stay by his side here, medical and household bills will begin to add up quickly and we need his wife and children to be focused on him and his recovery not the expenses.

My name is Ruth, I am Ron's sister and I am setting up this GoFundMe account to help my brother's family with medical expenses and other bills they have, I am asking that you please help the Zimmer family in their time of need, anyone that knows Ron knows he is very prideful and never asks for anything but is always the first person to extend a helping hand. Please help me take this burden off his wife so she can focus on being by his side and being a mother to their two childern during this time of need.
