Eighteen month old Nehemiah is diagnosed with a rare disease, called DiGeorge Syndrome. Early on, most children died before 2 years of age because there was no cure for this fatal illness. He was hospitalized for 9 months in Arkansas Children's hospital before he was well enough to be able to come home. Even afterwards, he has had several overnight stays in the hospital. There is now a surgical procedure which may save his life. He will be receiving a Thymus transplant in Durham, North Carolina at Duke University. We fly out from Little Rock Arkansas airport on August 29th. Nehemiah has 8 other brothers and sisters. His father is the sole provider of the family. His mother had to quit her job in order to provide complete care for him. The family relocated in order to be closer to the hospital for Nehemiah's care. The hour and 45 minute drive was too much of a hardship on the family. If you can give anything for transplant related expenses, it would be greatly appreciated. God bless and thank you.
