Elliott Birrell's Fight For His Life

Donation protected

When I was a year and a half, my parents brought home my new pet/ little brother. He quickly became a huge piece of my world from that day forward. He has since grown to be the most wonderful and amazing man! He is now 28 years young and has relocated from Seattle, WA to Mobile, AL. He's a pain in the ass. An adrenaline junkie. Stubborn. A jokester. A family man. A skilled welder. A hard worker. Someone that makes everyone laugh. He's a smartass. A provider. A brother. A son. An uncle. A father. A fiance. A friend. He's a giver. A protector. He loves hard. He's optomistic and extremely brave.....But he's sick.

On August 18th 2016 the Birrell family was hit hard when we learned our Elliott has a rare and aggressive stage 3 Testicular Cancer. (Pure Choriocarcinoma) Our world's were shattered by a nightmare come true. He has the rarest form of the disease. Only 1% of all testicular cancer victims have been known to have this strand.

Elliott is the sole provider to his fiance, Ruby and their hillariously amazing 2.5 yr old son, Landon. They're struggling emotionally, physically, and financially. Since being diagnosed, he's had a total of 8 surgeries, multiple scans, MRI's, CT's, X-Rays, and ultrasounds. He's had both lungs collapse and his right testicle removed. They have found tumors growing in his lungs, near his spine, and in his brain. He's about to start his second 5 day round of Chemo, which costs $28,000 a day. He has medical insurance, but he still has to pay 20% of all costs. He has lost 12 lbs and has started losing his hair. But one thing he hasn't lost is his will to live or his sense of humor. Unfortunately he is too fragile to work and needs around the clock care. They have NO income to pay their everyday bills and costs of living, let alone the medical bills that will be rolling in. I would like for that to be the least of everyone's worries, but it's going to take a village.

Both Elliott's and Ruby's families have been taking turns dropping everything to go be with him in Alabama to help. My parents are working hard to assist financially as well, as they have taken on all the bills that Elliott is no longer able to pay himself. But it's hard and we all need your help! All of your donations go directly to Elliott's mom and dad to pay for his expenses. It doesn't matter how big or how small or even if all you can afford to give is a prayer. You're appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this. And Thank You to any and all family, friends, or strangers that have spent time on the phone with Elliott, sat in the hospital with him, donated their hard earned money to help him, taken the time to shoot one of us a message just to see how we're holding up, or lifted him up in prayer! I love all of you for that! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.... and please Share this to help my family!
