My name is Sharon Williams. I am raising money to help with the expenses for Gregory Fowler. Gregory left this world Saturday, April 15, 2023. This is such a devastating, unexpected tragedy. Gregory recently turned 26 years old. He left behind his fiancé (my daughter) Kelly 24 and their 3 daughters Lilly 5, Layla 2 and Sharla who will be 1 the day of the wake.
Gregory was such a precious person. He had a heart of gold and would’ve helped anybody at no cost. He knew and loved God. He was a mechanic and worked hard to learn everything he could from his dad who he looked up to more than anyone. One time he used my carport to rebuild his first transmission in an 18 wheeler. He drove down the road the first time he put it back together. He was the smartest person I knew. I talked to him many times about going back to school to be a doctor.
Gregory loved Kelly so much. He was determined to marry her and make her his wife. He was so patient with her and all her attitude. He came home to packages she ordered and would smile and say unbelievable. He said she deserved the world and he wanted to give her just that.
He loved his baby girls. He spent time with them in a way that most mothers dream to witness from the father of their children. He played with them, did projects with them, got on their level with anything they wanted to do. He brushed their hair and put it up with bows. He even brushed Kelly’s hair.
Gregory was everything I had dreamed of for my daughter and to be the daddy of my grandchildren.
He worked on mine and Lori’s car and anything I needed fixed. There was nothing I ever saw him tackle that he couldn’t fix. When he came home from work it was evident he had put in a hard day. He still had time to help take care of anything Kelly and the babies needed.
When we went somewhere, he had to be top of the line. Kelly use to drive me crazy taking so long to get ready. Gregory took even longer. His appearance was so important to him. He wanted to be viewed with dignity.
In the last months of his life he had choose a bad path. The story I’ve heard is that someone sold him drugs but it wasn’t what it was suppose to be. Don’t get me wrong, a drug is a drug. Some are just much more dangerous than others. He done it once and it had him. Satan got his claw in a young man that was once a preacher. He didn’t let up. Gregory didn’t want to be what he had became. He was so private with what he had going on that we didn’t know. We had no idea how bad it was. It came to the point quickly that Kelly had to part ways for the babies sake. Even then she didn’t know what he was doing/using but she knew something was wrong. She hoped he would get the help he needed knowing how much he loved his family. The devil had such a strong hold though. Less than 3 months she let him come home. She wanted to do what it took to help him. His phone was proof that he was trying so hard. He just couldn’t beat it. People who were “so called” friends wouldn’t leave him alone. Rather then seeking help, he took his own life. Drugs took him away from us. He would’ve never hurt those he left behind.
This was unexpected and there was no insurance. His brother is raising money and Kelly wants to help in whatever way she can. Gregory was and always will be the love of her life. However, she’s already been off work a week. She has 3 babies to support alone now. We don’t know when she will be able to go back to work and her bills didn’t stop.
Every penny will go to the funeral that has to be paid in full by Monday. If we raise more than needed for the funeral the remaining will go to pay bills for Kelly and the babies. Please find it in your heart to help this family. Prayers are the most important. Above all pray for all who knew and loved this wonderful young man. Those who didn’t know him really missed out on one of the best people I’ve known in this life.
I love you Gregory! I’ll help take care of Kelly and the babies. Look down on us and give us strength son. This one is more than we can carry alone. We need you!
