Lisa Thompson Roussel Relief Fund

Donation protected
Louisiana was hit by massive flooding.  Our friend and classmate, Lisa Thompson Roussel, home was flooded along with her vehicle.   All contents  a  total loss. She is faced with rebuilding one day at a time.  At any time this could be anyone of us!

Lisa, has a long road ahead.  As the waters receded she began the monumental task of clean up. She is upbeat and a fighter but told me today it is very hot and tiring.    Beside the loss of all personal possessions and
contents of her home she is also clearly facing the structural and underlying damage from pictures she has posted. The picture above is a good example of the task of clean up in her neighborhood and many others like it. Her vehicle is also a total loss. Lisa does have insurance but as we all know relief does not happen overnight especially in an area so devasted. It takes time for claims to be evaluated and processed.

It is my hope we will all rally behind her!  The money you donate will be made available to her upon her request at anytime and she will be the only person to release

them through the Go Fund Me site. The goal will not have to be met for her to set up release on her side. It will help her with immediate relief of her daily needs as  they arise in the days ahead. Think about waking up to all of your possessions gone. Your entire area devastated.

You can clearly see the depth of the water levels of flood waters in the picture above by the water level marking in the doorway and down the hallway.

Along with major  items needing to be replaced you also have the simple things to replace which we all take for grated each day. Food, clothes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.

We Can Make A Difference!

Lisa has! She was honored for her work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina for animal rescue! She also fought her way back from a devastating aneurysm a few years ago and today is an inspirational speaker to those who find themselves in the same condition and are having to learn how to walk and talk all over again in rehabilitation programs.

So many circumstances may be out of our control, so many of us live here in Alabama and other states. But we can lend a hand and help one of our own with a simple donation.

I know Lisa will be forever grateful and I would like to thank you in advance for any donation made. As I prayed over the flood victims and for Lisa I felt a strong feeling to do SOMETHING. So I contacted her for permission to set this page up. For any who may not be able to donate please keep Lisa, her family and all others in your daily prayers.
