"Ask A Slave!" - Comedy Web Series

Ask a Slave! will take you into the world of a quirky, black, Generation Y-er who finds herself in the clutches of 18th Century America. Based entirely on actual interactions I had while working as a slave character at George Washington's Mount Vernon, Ask a Slave! takes a sharply comic, satirical jab at the haphazard way that we do (and do not) confront our nation's not so lily-white past.

So join me, as Lizzy Mae, housemaid to America's favorite Founding Father. Watch her respond as today's Americans say the darndest things about history.

Ask a Slave! will be directed by Jordan Black, Groundlings Alumnus, former SNL writer, and frequent guest star on NBC's Community.

The $3000 will support costs for five webisodes. Our target is 7-10 short webisodes, so if we exceed our funding goal here, all the better.

Let's make this whacky one-of-a-kind production happen!
