Get Dan a new wheelchair.

Right guys, my names Craig Ratcliffe and the reason for this crowd fund effort is to attempt to raise the amount needed to help out a good friend of mine.
Dan Oliphant is an ex Paratrooper who served for ten years and was unfortunately injured on a parachute training course on July 2013 which left him severely injured and ended up with him having to use a wheelchair.
Dan served on operational tours in Afghanistan with the Paras and although he gets help from forces charities and the NHS he has been told that if he wants the new chair that he so desperately needs he needs to raise a contribution which is the amount I'm aiming to help him raise .
He desperately needs a new wheelchair as the one he currently uses isn't fit for purpose, the model he is after will help him to maintain a decent standard of living, help with posture and comfort and generally give him more independence.
As you can imagine Dan is a very proud man and doesn't like to ask for help, so with his permission I have set up this fund to try and make a difference to a man that has given a lot to his country.
Dan is an active guy and hopes to compete for his country in the Invictus Games so any extra money raised will go towards getting him an additional racing wheelchair he needs to train and go for gold!! As we all know sport can be a massive help in terms of recovery, confidence, sense of worth and community.
Dan has struggled to find work since being medically discharged from the Army even though he is a qualified adapted personal trainer so getting the funds in any sort of reasonable time scale is difficult for him.
So give generously and help this genuine cause and give a fiercely independent man back his confidence and the ability to achieve his dreams.
Many thanks
Dan & Craig
