Alice's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
During late 2015, Alice began to experience some symptoms that brought her to the doctor for check up. On February 10th, 2016, after a series of ultrasounds and a CT scan, Alice was informed that she had a mass in her lower abdomen and that she would need to see an oncologist. After further testing, additional concerns were found on her liver and spleen. At that time, the doctors were 95% sure that the original mass was ovarian cancer and wanted to operate to remove the mass.
During the opperation it was determined that the cancer was not ovarian in nature. After additonal follow up appointments, there was no further clarification to the primary source of the cancer. The doctors confirmed that they believe it's coming from the upper/lower GI area, but were unable identify a specific organ. They are now calling it adenocarcinoma signet ring cell type cancer.
Traditional chemotherapy treatments did not offer promising results, so a natural supplement called Protocel was used for treatment. Protocel provided some hope of sucess with this type of cancer.
Three months into treatment with increased symptoms, a CT scan showed unfavorable progress. At this point, Alice was recommended to EuroMed Foundation, an alternative treatent clinic in the Phoenix, AZ area with experience in treating signet ring cell type cancer. Alice is currently undergoing daily treatment.
Due to non-traditional treatment, significant medical expenses are being incurred. Many have asked for a way to support Alice financially, which is the reason for this page. We defintely appreciate your support and prayers.
