Ok...those of that know me and know my dad you know first hand how stubborn we can be...so as hard as it is to type this I know in my heart I must...
After 14 years of dedicated service to this country my father Doug Demaray was let go from TSA due to medical reasons, even after being cleared by his personal doctor to return to full duty...needless to say this has been a hard couple of weeks for my dad and as much as I wish I didn't have to ask I need all of your help.
The federal government is actively helping him search for new employment but as adults we all know the bills do not stop. Thankfully he has been in contact with his local Union Rep who has stated that he has a great case to file a grievance...but it is going to take time and money...money he does not have. Money for rent...health care...food....
So I'm asking...no I'm begging for all those in my father's life who he has touched with his kindness please step forward and help this amazing man I call dad.
I could truly go on and on about how amazing my dad is, but I'm sure none of it would could as a surprise to you. So I will just say this...Doug Demaray is a hero...he is MY hero...he is the man that supported us kids and stayed with us when no one else would and raised us kids on his own for years. And still to this day would take the shirt off his back for not only us kids but anyone in his life he calls friend....
So please...if you have anything to spare...anything at all I please ask that you do. Restarting so late in life (6 years from retirement) isn't easy and I would love to finally be able to help my dad the way he has helped me everyday of my life.
