Lt. Huffman Rememberance Fund

Hello, My name is Austin Mathis.  I am making a GoFundMe account to raise Funds for a fallen Firefighter. Lt. Pete Huffman dedicated his life to the Fire service . Lt. Huffman served the citizens of pinellas county for more than 35 years. Pete was a humble man with a giant heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it whether he was on duty or off. He was always looking for ways to make his community a better place. 17 months ago, Pete and his family's life took a drastic turn when he was diagnosed with stage lV colon cancer.  Lt. Huffman and his family battled this awful disease with their heads held high until his body couldn't fight any longer.  After a long hard battle, Lt. Huffman has left this world and is no longer in pain. I am trying to raise these  funds to help his family with the mounting medical expenses. After 35 years on the job the Huffman family has had to use his pention funds to help pay  his medical expenses. With still more bills to pay, it would be a great honor if we could help in this cause. In addition to helping the family with the medical expenses, we would like to help fund the Lt. Pete Huffman Scholarship Fund. This fund will help young aspiring Firefighters with Academy Tuition. This means a lot to my family and I, because Pete was such a great person, Teacher, Mentor, and most importantly my Friend. Pete has done so much for so many, lets return the favor. We would be extremely grateful for any donations to help out his family in this time of need.
