Ascension Parish Flood Recovery
Hey everyone,
My name is Ryan Robson.
We are trying to raise money, and/or collect donations for flood victims.
I'm sure you have seen or heard that there has been great devastation in South Louisiana this week. 1000s of people have been uprooted and forced to leave their homes due to the flooding. Many of them have up to 4 ft of water in their houses. Schools and businesses are flooded as well. My cousins and many others have been traveling by boats to rescue others from their homes. I have a huge family from this area and all of them are being affected by this flooding including my sister. Power was out for days spoiling any refrigerated foods. Floors and drywall is ruined. Insects and spiders have taken refuge in the flooded homes. We are looking for donations of any kind to help as many people as possible. The money donated will be used for water, cleaning supplies, clothes, baby products, home demolition tools, box fans for drying, pesticides, sanitation supplies, safety goggles, gloves, food, etc.. We will be renting vans of some sort to bring these supplies down there ourselves, as most of the stores in the area are wiped out. Everything left over will be donated to Ascension Parish to help less fortunate familes. This area is in serious need of our help. Please share and bring attention to this situation. Thank you everyone!
These are actual pictures from my cousins of their homes and aerial shots of the Gonzalez/ St. Amant area.
