My Sister and Her Family
Donation protected
On April 27th my sister welcomed a beautiful little peanut, Ava Naomi into this world a bit earlier than expected. She was born several weeks early weighing only 5lbs. After a short stay they were allowed to go home. A few days later on May 5th Ava was rushed to the hospital in Pueblo under respiratory distress. She was quickly admitted and began receiving oxygen. With her condition worsening Ava was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Colorado Springs. She was placed on a feeding tube and ventilator. After numerous tests and scans she was found to have laryngomalacia which affects the larynx and would require surgery. Upon starting the surgery a cyst was also found to be growing and blocking her airway. Surgery was then done to remove the cyst and repair the larynx. Thankfully the surgery went well and she is recovering. Unfortunately my sister Melissa and Josiah have been unable to work while being with Ava at the Children's Hospital in Colorado Springs. After recently moving into a house in Pueblo they have fallen behind on rent and other expenses related to the hospital stay are piling up. I want to try and take some of the financial stress off of them to focus their attention on Ava’s recovery and homecoming. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by the family and myself. Thank you for your time.
