My mother's best friend, Inga -- a woman who has dropped everything to support my family time and time again -- has severe damage to her home due to the flood in East Baton Rouge parish. To make matters worse, the home of her daughter -- who had just moved into her first home with a young daughter -- also flooded.  

Inga is a nurse at Women's Hospital in Baton Rouge. She tirelessly serves her community in Denham Springs. She is a kind-hearted woman who is quick to make you laugh -- even when you're missing the family wedding pictures because a huge tree trunk hit you on the head and you saw stars at your mom's wedding. Yeah, that happened and Inga checked my pupils and iced my forehead.

Your donation will help Inga rebuild her life and support her daughter, Meg, and granddaughter, June, as they rebuild theirs. 

P.S. -- I'm Emily Joffrion. I live in Portland, OR but I was born in Baton Rouge, LA. I will be heading to Louisiana to volunteer and support Inga as we rebuild her home. I'm a real person. So is she.
