Supplies for Kids in Tamale, Ghana
Donation protected
My name is Umar Farouk Osman. I’m from the northern region of Ghana in a village called Kalpohini. I have two younger sisters and an older brother. My mother is a teacher at Saksaka Primary, a school in my area for kids without money, and my father doesn’t have a job. When I was 14, I was furtunate enough to get the opportunity to come to the United States to further my education. Since then, my goal has always been to give back to the community that helped make this possible for me.
This summer, I traveled home for 2 weeks to see my family and I was once again shocked by the poverty in my community, yet I was thrilled by the willingness of many kids to learn.

Unfortunately, most of these kids are trying to learn without the necessary tools. These kids attend school without pencils, pens or bookbags, and are lacking the workbooks and textbooks that they need to learn.

My goal is to raise enough money to provide as much of these school supplies to the kids in Saksaka Primary
as possible.
I know that with your help, we can help create a better future for these kids.

Thank you for your help.
