Robin Ridley vs. Bone Marrow Cancer

My name is Joyce Mazzeo and my precious daughter, Robin Ridley, has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare form of bone marrow cancer (about 4 in 100,000 persons yearly). I have established this fund to help her with medical bills and living expenses associated with her battle against this cancer.
Multiple myeloma begins in plasma cells and is characterized by an abnormal production of those cells that may eventually mass together to form a tumor or tumors, especially in the bone marrow. This is what Robin is facing right now. The current plan for treatment is radiation therapy, followed by chemotherapy, along with medications. The possibility of a bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant may be in her future as well.
Robin is one of the most loving, giving and caring people on this planet. Her compassion for others extends well beyond her family, and her devotion to veterans of his great country knows no bounds. This is the woman who started Warrior Wings to bring soldiers home for Christmas when they couldn’t otherwise afford it. She wrote the book on the POW/MIA recognition Day event held annually on the capitol steps in Tallahassee, FL, and she was one of the primary driving forces of the Florida Veterans Foundation while working there. And she’s strong, so very strong, but she needs our help now. The unknown as it relates to her treatment and the uncertainty of how much she will be able to work are additional burdens she just shouldn’t have to bear.
I hope and pray that my “baby girl” will be victorious in her fight to defeat this. Robin says and believes, “God’s got my back” – but we can help, too.
