Hi everyone,
I soon set off to Nepal to do my volunteer Nursing project on September 4th. I've always wanted to do volunteer work in a country less fortunate and finally I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to do so.
I've decided to set up a fundraising page in order to buy some materials for the Children I will be working with in the rehabilitation centres in Nepal, such as story books, colouring books and pencils. I will be giving a donation to the places I will be working including Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital and also to the Nepal Youth Foundation.
Half of the children in Nepal under the age of five are malnourished, a rate far above the poverty rate. Poor nutrition is one of the leading causes of death for young Nepalese children. Many of those who survive severe malnutrition suffer permanent physical and mental damage that limits their potential forever.
I want to share my experience with you and together we can make a change, something that may seem so small but life changing to others.
