My brother, Hank H. Wade, age 58, passed away on September 11, 2016 at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, TX.
In 2009, Hank learned that he had a heart defect while undergoing a physical for a new job. Because of this defect, he was not hired nor could he get the life-saving surgery that he needed because he was uninsured.
Hank coped with his condition for 7 years until it worsened in August 2016. He had a series of mild strokes and a severe infection of his heart valves. Hank was flown to St. David's hospital in Austin where he suffered a massive stroke that took his life.
This fund is being set up to help our family cover Hank's memorial and expenses related to his passing.
Hank always took care of others but was not always able to care of himself.
Hank's Obituary:
Hank was born in Luling, TX on April 16, 1958.
Hank was a 1977 graduate of Victoria High School where he excelled in football and track. He attended college at the University of Texas in Austin before returning to Victoria where he owned and operated several video and liquor stores. He was in the landscaping business prior to his death.
Hank really enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved all sports and being outdoors hunting and fishing with his friends. He enjoyed barbequing, playing poker, and watching sports whenever possible. He was always the life of the party during family functions.
Most of all, Hank was a proud, devoted and loving father to his two daughters, Shannon (Wade) Kalisky, and Sarah Wade who were his greatest joy!
Hank was preceded in death by his father, Henry H. Wade II.
Hank is survived by his mother; Agnes Wade, his sisters: Diane Sanders, Linda Wade, and Susan Rush, and his brothers: Richard Wade and Mark Wade.
Hank will be deeply missed by all his family and friends!
