As I hear the news of the illness of Daniel Lansky, my heart goes out to him and his family. Daniel was recently diagnosed with cancer and is currently in dire need of a Refuah Shelayma speedily! His wife Elana and their 3 young boys are active influential members of our Baltimore community and our tefillos are all with them that their father and husband will return home healthy and strong ad 120 shana Iyh. I thought to myself, as many others have as well, what we can I do to help? We all want to create an immediate zchus for Raphael Daniel Mordechai B Chaya Shifra. I have a special contact in Yerushalayim that I know personally for over 15 years, the Eim Bayit ( house mother ) of a girls orphanage in Meah Shearim. I have heard that the mitzvah of hahnasas kallah is especially meritorious for bringing about a Refuah Shelayma. This fund would go directly to kallahs in Yerushalaym who are in need of funds for their wedding and will Iyh bring joy to the chassan and kallah and they will daven as well for Daniel on their wedding day Iyh.
