Hello, my name is James, I'm 55 years old and have been a full time care giver for my 91 year old mother for the past 4+ years. Our cat Bub, short for Beelzebub, that we were able help trap and domesticate several years ago (thanks to an amazing local nonprofit) has developed a possible bowel obstruction approximately 5 days ago. Because we are limited to a fixed income (moms social security/VA) that is just enough to cover the bills and basic necessities and my responsibilities as her full time caregiver that prevents me from having the freedom to work an additional job, the cost of this sudden illness is beyond our ability to fully cover at this time.

Bub is somewhere between 8-10 years old (estimated) and is indoor exclusive. The amount I'm asking for is based on the exact amount quoted by our vet for xrays and if needed an enema. Normal issues that have popped up in the past have been minor and although tight financially, I've been able to get them covered. This time however I'm needing assistance.

Any amount raised that exceeds the goal will be donated to the same local Trap and Release (TnR) rescue organization that is responsible for helping bring Bub into our lives.

*I also feel it should be noted that depending on what the xrays show will play a pivotal role in what important and informed decision that needs to be made moving forward, not for us, not for me but for Bub, something all of us as pet owners must eventually face. I truly hope now isn't the time but I feel strongly that we owe it to Bub for the time we have been blessed with him.

I will provide a receipt from the veterinarian showing payment if we're able to secure the donations.
