Eddie and Cindy Develle lost their home on August 14th during the unprecedented flooding in Louisiana. They are grateful to have gotten out in time but they had to leave EVERYTHING behind. They evacuated with their 4 girls and the clothes on their backs. Their home and vehicles were under 8-10' of water and they are currently staying with Cindy's sister and her family about 10 miles from the impacted area.
Eddie and Cindy feel blessed to have gotten out safely but clearly could use some help to get back on their feet as they work with FEMA and the insurance company to rebuild their home (literally). The good news is that the family does have flood insurance! The bad news is that based on the scope of the flooding it will take months to sort through the legalities of the insurance claim and likely a year + to rebuild/repair and insurance will not replace personal belongings and the many, many items they have lost to the flood waters. The Deville’s have 9 children....YES NINE!!! 8 girls and 1 boy ranging in age from 28-5, the four youngest girls living at home are ages 5, 7, 8, and 10.
Eddie has worked for Myers Tire Supply for 29 years, we are hoping to support this long term employee as he rebuilds. I and from Cincinnati Ohio and work with Eddie at Myers Tire Supply. The funds raised from this campaign will be used to buy basic necesseties for the family (clothes, book bags, gas and food) while they are living with family and any remaining funds will be used to help furnish their home once it is repaired or rebuilt. The funds raised from this campaing will be deposited directly into the Develles bank account so they can easily access and use the money raised for the items outlined above. Please consider a small donation to support this family during their time of need.
