Courtney Conquers Cardiac Arrest

Courtney and her family were on vacation in Virginia, and on Tuesday, August 2nd, Courtney was sleeping in bed when Case realized that she was not breathing. He alerted the family and Stacey began CPR until the paramedics arrived. Courtney was taken to a local hospital where she was revived, assessed and later flown by helecopter to Virginia Commonwealth University hospital.
It was determined that Courtney suffered cardiac arrest, but the cause was unknown. After six days on life support, Courtney was finally strong enough to breath on her own. Although she has made tremendous strides, Courtney is still in the Cardiac ICU at VCU and she has a long road to recovery ahead of her. The doctors and physical therapists are already blown away by how strong she is, but it is expected that walking across the room will be similar to preparing for a marathon.
The doctors predict that it will take months for Courtey to resume normal activity. During this time she will be out of work and the medical bills will mounting to astronomical levels.
Courtney had no history of heart problems, this came completely out of the blue, she is an otherwise healthy 29 year old. Courtney is the mother of an adorable 2 year old boy and wife to a loving husband. Any assistance you can provide, whether it be monetary or spiritual, would be greatly appriciated by Courtney and her family.
