Jacob's Journey

For the third time since he was 18 months old, this incredibly brave rock star, Jacob Grimes, is battling cancer. He was just informed today (June 23, 2017) that he has relapsed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)  and as can be imagined, is struggling with this knowledge and all that comes with it.   He is heading to CHOP on Monday with his mom Mandi and will begin treatment which may include harvesting his Tcells. 

If you do not personally know Jake and his mom, Mandi, let me tell you they are warriors! They will get through this, but they will need a LOT of support. Mandi will need to focus all of her time and energy (what little she'll have) on caring for Jake through his treatment and the burden of the medical bills, rent, and cost to live is the last thing she needs to be thinking about while they fight this terrible battle. 

I can personally tell you that Mandi has been and will always be the first person to drop everything to help someone else. She would literally give you her last dollar if you needed it. Now is the time to have her back when it's needed.

Please say an extra prayer for Jake each night and if you can donate any amount, it truly is so appreciated. Mandi is grateful for every bit of support she gets in any way. 

I will post updates as often as possible and will provide info for blood and platelet donations.
