Ever since we were young, my little sister Trini has always been drawn to babies - and babies have been drawn to her. Whenever she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, the answer was always "a mom". That love for babies extended throughout her life. She has worked in the Labor and Delivery unit of hospitals, bringing babies into the world. And now, she's a nurse in Post-partum and the nursery taking care of new babies and mothers.
For years, Trini and her husband Timmy, tried to have a baby. Finally, 3 years ago, they were blessed with their dream to be parents, but it didn't come without heartache. With the help of IVF, she was able to get pregnant with twins. But 24 weeks into the pregnancy, she lost her little Corbin. For 5 more weeks, she carried Corbin and his brother, Owen. Then at 29 weeks, the boys were born. They were overjoyed to have Owen in their lives!
Trini and Timmy love being parents, and they have been praying that they would be blessed with another child. For the past 2 years, they have sacrificed time, money, and have endured physical and emotional pain while trying to have another baby. Multiple failed attempts at IVF resulted in miscarriage. But throughout all of this sorrow, Trini has continued to be courageous and hasn't given up on having another baby.
Trini and Timmy are going to attempt one more round of IVF. The doctors have suggested using a surrogate as well, to up their chances. Trini's amazing sister-in-law has offered to be a surrigate (gestational carrier) for Trini and Timmy's baby. They will begin the process in June, and will do the transfers in July. The total cost is about $28,000 but they would appreciate any kind of financial help to pay for the IVF for Trini and the surrigate, the surrogate's medical expenses, and the legal fees. Thank you for helping this loving family!
