The Orosi High School Speech and Debate Team has qualified two students to attend the very prestigious National Individual Events Tournament of Champions in Denver, Colorado!  This is our first year as a team, which makes this even more impressive and exciting.  Our district has done a great job supporting us this year, and they are also supporting the four members of our team on their journey to attend the Nationals Finals in June in Salt Lake City, Utah.  However, the additonal expenses to attend the NIETOC need to be fundraised.  Our small community (6,000 people) is doing their best, but we can use your help.  We have narrowed down our remaining expensed for the trip to roughly $2,000 (from an initial estimate of $4,650), and we ask you to please donate what you can spare to send our team on this trip. Kaylin Portillo Chavez and Espy Patino will be only the second Duo Interpretaion team in the HISTORY of the Valley to ever attend this competiton, which they had to qualify for by placing high at two difficult national level competitions, the James Logan Invitational and the UC-Berkeley Invitational.  
Money raised will go towards plane tickets to Denver, registration for the competiton, hotel rooms, rental car, and food expenses.  The trip is May 12th through the 15th, so time is of the essence.  Please dontate what you can as soon as you can, any amount will be greatly appreciated.  
I have been a coach for 15 years and this will  be the first time I have had the pleasure to coach two students so amazing that they can attend, with your help, one of the hardest tournaments in the United States.  Please help send our students on this trip......you can only imagine how thankful myself, Kaylin, Espy, Orosi High School, and Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified will be for your time and effort.
